Time vs Me
Somewhere along the way, time stopped feeling normal.
Days aren’t “days” anymore………They’re targets. Portions. Study hours……… A countdown to the next exam I’m either ready for—or pretending to be.
Morning comes with a plan. Night ends with a quiet calculation of how much I didn’t do.
And somehow, even after doing a lot, it never feels like enough :)
Weeks pass, but I can’t tell you what I did in them—except study. Months go by, and the only thing that changes is the syllabus I’m stuck on. It’s like living in a loop where everything moves, but nothing really moves forward.
And the weirdest part? The world outside doesn’t pause with me. People are celebrating things, going places, enjoying……… While I’m here, refreshing concepts I’ve already read three times, telling myself “this attempt will be different.”
Time feels fast when I think about the years going by.
Time feels painfully slow when I’m sitting with the same page for hours.
Time feels stuck when I realize I’m still not where I thought I’d be by now.
Three different versions of time— all existing at once.
And I don’t think people get how confusing that is. They see “you’re just studying.” But they don’t see how time becomes pressure… How every hour starts carrying guilt… How breaks don’t feel like rest—they feel like falling behind.
Sometimes I wonder if I’m managing time, or if time is quietly managing me.
But still, every day, I sit down again.
Same books. Same goals. Same uncertainty.
Not because I have it all figured out, but because stopping would feel worse than this.
Maybe that’s what this journey does. It changes your relationship with time before it changes anything else.
And maybe one day, I won’t look at the clock and feel pressure. I’ll look at it and realize - I survived every version of time that tried to break me.
Maybe this journey was never just about clearing an exam. Maybe it was about becoming someone who keeps going— even when time itself feels against them.
And until then, I’ll keep showing up— in a life that feels paused, for a future that’s still moving.

you can do it bhai
Semiya, you need rest as much as you need to dedicate time to learning and studying. My best friend is also doing CA and I know it can be very overwhelming. Please take care of yourself while studying and achieving your goals. Having studied for CAT myself, I know how days stretch into weeks and how we start looking at days just as a means to finish syllabus.
